Before the Xiaomi 12S series unveils tonight, there is already a ton of leaked information online about the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Surprisingly, Xiaomi even released some features and other details of the phone, practically telling us the whole picture.
One of the latest details that Xiaomi released was announcing its AnTuTu benchmark score. While it didn’t acknowledge the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the score has exceeded over 1.1 million points which don’t exist on any Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagships. Even so, sources say that some current Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices like the RedMagic Nubia Pro and iQOO series are below 1.1 million points.
In addition, Xiaomi also released other official information such as the display. The Xiaomi 12S Pro display will support an LTPO 2K resolution, 1500 nits of brightness, an adjustable 1-120Hz refresh rate system, 522ppi, 10-bit colour and an AMOLED panel. The display has curved sides on the image and a punch-hole front camera too. Sources also mentioned that the pro variant uses a 6.73-inch display.
Then for charging, there is a 120W fast charging technology that can fully charge the phone in just 19 minutes. Last but not least, the Xiaomi 12S pro will be equipped with Leica camera technologies. The primary camera uses a Sony IMX707 with a 24mm equivalent focal length, followed by a portrait mode sensor with 2x optical zoom and 50mm equivalent focal length, and finally an ultrawide in 115 degrees with 14mmm equivalent focal length. All the sensors are 50MP.
The Xiaomi 12S Pro is set to look like a super pro flagship device, but unfortunately, it is possible that the phone may be exclusive to the Chinese market only. Nevertheless, we shall see what Xiaomi has in store for us so stay tuned for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
