Chinese smartphone maker Vivo expanded its product portfolio in its domestic market with the launch of the latest flagship lineup — the Vivo X90 series — in November 2022. The company has now updated its website to announce the official launch date of its premium smartphone lineup for the global marketplace. Apart from the launch time and date, the company hasn’t shared any details about the upcoming smartphone series. The Vivo X90 series is expected to be unveiled for multiple global markets, including Indian, Europe and the Middle East. Vivo may launch all three variants of the X90 series for the global market, which include the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and the Vivo X90 Pro+.
Vivo X90 series: Confirmed global launch date, time plus specs
According to Vivo website, the company has scheduled an event on February 3 to launch the particular X90 series of smartphones. The website also confirms that the release event will be held at 12 am IST (midnight). Vivo’s website is also showing a “Register Interest” button which enthusiasts can click to get notifications about the start event.
The organization also confirms that the mobile phone series will feature both a 4nm main chipset and a V2 image-sensing processor. The Vivo X90 series smartphones will also house a main camera setup powered by a Zeiss imaging system.
Vivo X90 collection: Expected specs and features
Vivo is expected to launch the X90 series smartphones with the same specs as their Chinese counterparts. All three models are likely to sport a curved display with a punch-hole for the selfie camera and may support 120W fast charging.
The Vivo X90 Pro+ model is likely to be powered by the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Meanwhile, the other two variants — Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro smartphones may feature the particular MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip-set. Moreover, all three versions are also likely to boot Android 13 out-of-the-box.
