A few months ago, Vivo expanded its V-series smartphone range in Vietnam with the launch of Vivo V23e 5G. The device was unveiled in Vietnam with a price tag of 8,490,000 VND (approx Rs 27,900). Vivo V23e is a mid-range phone that is equipped with features such as a 50MP camera, 44-watt fast charging and an AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. Now, the company has officially announced that the smartphone is making its way into the Indian market.

The Indian launch of the Vivo V23e 5G was confirmed by the company through a dedicated microsite and a Twitter post from Vivo India’s official account. The brand has not yet revealed any details about the launch of the upcoming smartphone. However, rumours suggest that the smartphone will be launched in India in the coming week on February 21. The smartphone is expected to have similar specifications in the country as seen in the variant launched in Vietnam.

Vivo V23e 5G specifications

Vivo V23e 5G smartphone features a 6.44-inch full HD AMOLED screen with 2400×1080 pixel resolution. The display offers a refresh rate of 60Hz. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core processor with two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores for battery efficiency. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The handset runs on FunTouch 12 based on the Android 11 operating system. It is backed by a 4050mAh battery. The device comes with support for fast charging and has a 44-watt adapter. It is said to charge up from 0% to 69% in 30 minutes.

When it comes to camera, the Vivo V23e 5G smartphone offers a 50MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. On the rear, the phone comes with a 64MP main sensor (f/1.79 aperture) equipped with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP super macro camera.

In Vietnam, the smartphone comes in two colour options — Moonlight Shadow and Sunshine Coast.
