NEW DELHI: OnePlus’ co-founder Carl Pei’s technology startup Nothing entered the market last year with the launch of its first true wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear (1). Earlier this year, the company announced its plans to enter the smartphone market. The startup confirmed that it will launch its first smartphone, dubbed as Nothing phone (1), later this year. Recently, Pei and Nothing’s chief designer, Tom Howard, shared some information about the design of the upcoming Nothing phone (1) smartphone. Now a new leak has surfaced online showing the likely display specifications of Nothing phone (1).
According to a tweet by TechDroider, the yet-to-launch Nothing phone (1) is said to sport a 6.55-inch OLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The image shared in the tweet reveals that the smartphone display will feature flat edges. The leak also suggests that the upcoming Nothing smartphone will also not have a chin and will be surrounded by slim bezels on all sides.
Nothing Phone 1 expected specifications
Nothing Phone 1 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 788G processor. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 i is said to run Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own Nothing OS. The smartphone is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The smartphone may sport a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary camera, 8MP secondary camera and 2MP tertiary camera. The device is rumoured to be backed by a 32MP selfie shooter.
The Nothing Phone 1 is said to be backed by a 4500mAh battery with wireless charging support.
Nothing Phone (1) likely launch date and price
According to various online reports, the company is expected to launch the Nothing Phone (1) on July 21. The smartphone is likely to be priced at around 500 euros (Rs 42,000). With this pricing, the smartphone will compete against the affordable R-series of smartphones from OnePlus.
